A wife discovers her husband has betrayed her again and again, and a strange force begins turning every new affair into a year stolen from his own life. As his years slip away with each infidelity, she must decide how far the reckoning should go.
So what? I can always find another woman to give me kids. I remembered a night from years ago. I had just cried because of another one of Adrian's scandals. The two little ones carefully wiped away my tears.
Mommy, don't be sad. When I grow up, I'll protect you. Me too. 49 betrayals.
I hadn't come this far to fall apart at the finish line. This wasn't just about Adrian. It was about making sure Noah and Lily got everything that was theirs. I couldn't lose now.
I'm signing up my own free will. My voice barely shook. Adrian grabbed the documents and walked out without looking back. Sienna was already waiting at the door.
Sienna, I'm free. He cupped her face in front of every reporter and frisked her. I walked out a moment later. Mrs. Blackwood, sorry, Ms. Hart, how are you feeling right now?
Will you be seeking sole custody of the children? Has the asset division been finalized? If they're truly in love, I'd rather step aside and let Adrian be happy. Eight days until New Year's Eve.
He's completely lost it. Throwing away the family name for her? Adrian kept his head down but didn't budge. Evelyn, I want you to know I will never accept that woman.
One month from now, I'll make sure Adrian ends this nonsense. Don't blame him. Adrian is just too kind. He only wanted to fulfill an old man's last wish.
I smiled. She squeezed tighter. You're always the most thoughtful one.
